The logbook of the schooner Pacific details a sealing voyage from South Georgia to Portsmouth (Mar. 1831 to May 1831). Master was J. Brown; log keeper was Ammi Ruhamah Hall Fernald. It is a daily log that describes wind, weather, location, and shipboard occupations. Includes list of places for sealing (July 1830) and names of ships that have full cargo of sea elephant oil. Also includes notes of deaths, a book read, and one log entry for the ship Byron, at Rio de Janeiro, 1847.
